At the HIMSS Bookstore, attendees can purchase the latest publications and CD ROMs published by HIMSS and other prestigious associations and publishers, all at a special conference discount. Some titles to debut at HIMSS09 include a new edition of HIMSS’ bar coding and auto-ID guide and books on clinical decision support, PHRs and strategic planning. Besides books, at the HIMSS Gear kiosk, t-shirts, mugs and more bearing the HIMSS logo are available for purchase.
On Tuesday, from 3:45 p.m. to 5 p.m., Views from the Top speaker Kevin Mitnick will be signing copies of his book, The Art of Deception: Controlling the Human Element of Security, on a first-come, first-serve basis.
On Wednesday from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM keynote speaker Jerry Linenger, MD, NASA Astronaut, will be signing copies of his book Letters from MIR: An Astronaut’s Letters to His Son on a first-come, first-serve basis.
