CHICAGO — Hospital representatives will want to make a beeline for the HIMSS Analytics Booth 6204 (Hall B).
There they can learn more about the EMR Adoption ModelSM, HIMSS Analytics’ annual study derived from self-reported hospital data of their various stages of electronic medical record, or EMR, capabilities and implementation.
The EMR Adoption Model tracks hospitals’ progress of EMR implementation through eight stages, 0 through the just developed 7, from the initial clinical data repository environment to a paperless EMR environment.
Hospitals can learn what their benchmarking report scores mean and what value the scores brings to their organizations, said Tracy Jackson, senior manager of Marketing for HIMSS Analytics.
This year at HIMSS09, for the first time, HIMSS Analytics will announce the Stage 7 winners, which have created a paperless patient record environment at their facilities.
“The data that HIMSS Analytics collects can help you draw comparisons with your peers on IT budgets, staffing, clinical application suites and EMR sophistication – all of which can support your IT department planning and business strategy needs,” said Mike Davis, executive vice president of HIMSS Analytics.
Additionally, HIMSS Analytics will hold a raffle at its booth.
