CHICAGO — It’s not clear how and when the health IT funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act will flow, but there’s enough buzz to expect that the Exhibit Hall will be swarming with attendees trying to educate themselves of available products and services.
Indeed, many attendees already count the Exhibit Hall as one of their destinations. According to a survey of pre-registered attendees, the exhibition has been rated by attendees as one of the top reasons to attend the HIMSS Conference to search for solution to their health IT needs and for upcoming IT projects.
HIMSS and the vendors are ready this year. More than 900 exhibitors – including 200 vendors who are exhibiting for the first time – are ready to demonstrate how their products and services will increase quality of care and decrease inefficiencies and costs throughout the enterprise, something that health systems must address in this economic environment.
Be sure to pick up your copy of the Exhibit Guide, located in the double bins throughout the conference center. In the Exhibit Guide, you’ll find the Exhibit Hall map, exhibitor listings, Interoperability Showcase, Product Pavilion sessions, new product launches and a calendar of special events – everything you need to know about the vendors and their wares.
