CHICAGO — HIMSS Connect is the Society’s social networking site offered exclusively to HIMSS Members and annual conference attendees and exhibitors.
There are several major areas and features of the site:
- Profile: Display personal/professional information, specifying job title, areas of expertise, photograph and more.
- Blog: Write and post to a personal blog or subscribe to and comment on other member blogs.
- Contact Members: Send messages and make connections with other members.
- People Map: Find members with similar interests via an interactive mapping tool.
- Discussions: Join lively debates and discussions on healthcare IT topics.
HIMSS Connect is free to annual conference attendees, exhibitors and HIMSS Members. HIMSS Members can access HIMSS Connect at www.himss.org/membercenter. Non-HIMSS member annual conference attendees and exhibitors receive an invitation to access HIMSS Connect via e-mail after they register. Non-HIMSS member annual conference attendees and exhibitors have access to HIMSS Connect for four weeks following conference.
