There is a new playing field for the IT recruiting game and healthcare employers need to know the best strategies in order to win, says Dan DeMaioNewton, director of Strategy and Business Development for Monster Worldwide.
DeMaioNewton will offer some insights to recruiters in his Views from the Top education session 102, “Finding Keepers: The New Rules for Recruiting Healthcare IT Talent,” in the Georgia Ballroom 2.
His presentation will touch on several areas, including: identifying changes in HIT talent supply and demand; adopting new talent search rules to ensure a stronger HIT talent supply chain; recognizing which social media tools to use and which ones to avoid for recruitment purposes; and identifying “late-breaking, game-changing technologies” to compete for the top talent available.
HIMSS10 education organizers are touting the value of DeMaioNewton’s message this way: “Economic bombs, social media and changing business models have permanently changed recruitment – winning the war for talent in the 21st century requires adapting rapidly to a new talent landscape.”
Since joining Monster in 2003, DeMaioNewton has served as “a visionary and thought leader,” developing online recruitment workshops and recruitment strategy conference keynote presentations. He is responsible for creating solutions “that enable job seekers to advance their lives by getting better jobs faster and help businesses improve their recruitment performance.”
Among the recent online projects he has spearheaded: Hurricane Relief, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Recruitment system, Department of Defense Transition Assistance Portal and several other major sites.
