ATLANTA — The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) is the most significant piece of legislation to impact the healthcare industry. Although the law has been on the books since February 2009, nearly a year later the Dept. of Health and Human Services and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) are still laying down the foundation that will guide stakeholders as they begin or expand their health IT initiatives.

Chart module looks to open patient Xpress lane

XpressCharts EHR-Nursing/Triage/Tracking, developed by Xpress Technologies (HIMSS10, booth 1765), is a new module designed to plug in with established XpressCharts EHR electronic physician documentation system. The new solution is expected to permit smooth, integrated patient flow.

ZynxOrder is a content management system for developing and maintaining evidence-based order sets, alerts, and reminders. By using clinical content, ZynxOrder looks to help providers improve the quality of patient care.
ZynxCare, also designed by Zynx Health, is a product to help enables nurses and interdisciplinary nurse teams to incorporate evidence-based practices without interrupting workflow and care processes. The 150+ plan of care templates in ZynxCare are based on up to date clinical evidence, regulatory guidelines, and performance measures. The templates are fully customizable and allow for integration into provider workflow.
These products will be on display at booth 5333 during HIMSS10, March 1 – 4.
